Lucy is one of my best friend’s younger sister, and has always been such a big follower of my photography work over the years, so I was beyond excited when she and Jessel wanted to take some photographs while I was in Washington, D.C. this past spring!
With the cold wind outside, we decided on the National Building Museum for their couples portraits. It is a huge open space with tall gold pillars, beautiful floors, dozens of archways, and a few empty rooms we had fun playing with. It was definitely one of the prettiest buildings I’ve yet to photograph in, and it was perfect for our session! Lucy was even wearing the perfect gray tulle skirt to twirl around in, and we even stopped by City Center with all the pink and white Chinese lanterns hanging — making for a fun backdrop for a few portraits of just her. 🙂
Thank you both for such a fun day! Someday I’ll be back when the flowers are in full bloom. 😉
