About the Photographer

I’ve been taking portraits professionally since 2007 and I approach photography with an artist’s mindset. I’m also a painter, writer, nature-enthusiast, and adventure-seeker. When I photograph weddings and engagements, I look for the creative angles and lighting, the organic moments no one knew I was paying attention to, and the smallest details. I believe every couple deserves memorable works of art to keep and cherish for years to come.

Although originally from Florida, I have always felt a deep admiration for the mountains, and am truly excited start a new chapter in Golden, Colorado with my husband and small dog.

Reach out to say hello, connect, or to schedule a session with me. I look forward to meeting you!

The experience was fantastic! We did an underwater maternity photo shoot and Kaitlyn gave great direction to get the best shot. She has great vision and was able to produce beautiful pictures that I will treasure forever!

Kaitlyn wants nothing but the best for your day and will do anything to make that happen. She saw this gorgeous view in the lights outside our venue and pulled us aside for what is now one of our favorite pictures!

Frequently Asked Questions

How far in advance should I book a wedding photographer?

The best time to book a wedding photographer is typically after you have set a date and venue. This is ideally around 6 months to a year in advance of your special day.

Should we do a "first look"?

A first look is great for couples who prefer to spend a little extra time prior to the ceremony taking photographs that focus just on the two of them. Portraits after the ceremony can often feel rushed, especially with large bridal parties and families. Another idea to consider is having a first look with one of your parents. Still a sweet and intimate moment to capture!

What are the benefits of having a second wedding photographer?

Typically, a second photographer is helpful for at least a few hours to assist in getting extra coverage of everyone getting ready, the ceremony itself, and the first portion of the reception. This allows for you to have extra images from a variety of angles — at the most important moments!

Are you available for destination weddings?

Yes! I have an adventurous soul and have experience traveling both across the country and across the border! If you are having a destination wedding, let me know and we can include travel as part of your photography package.

Have you photographed at my wedding venue before?

The important part for photography is not actually having a lot of experience with the venue; it’s being able to capture your day in a unique way. Some photographers who photograph regularly at the same few venues end up taking very similar images for multiple weddings. Let me bring a personalized touch to your wedding photos by offering a new perspective on your wedding venue!

How do I reserve you for my wedding date?

Once you have a date and venue booked, we can discuss details for your wedding photography options. After you choose a package, I’ll send you an agreement to sign and an invoice for 50% of your wedding package. Once these are completed, I’m your wedding photographer!
